Sold out, Batman and More....

Sorry for the lack of posts. It’s been a hectic few weeks.

So where do I start. Well I suppose firstly I should say that I have sold out all my initial stone art designs.
I’m thrilled. When I started this project I made 17 of them and now they are all gone.
The feedback has been immense and all the nervousness from that first craft fair when I sold none has now evaporated.
I have been doing a lot of commission pieces - the family portrait pictures seem to be a big hit which is great.

Four of my pieces are proudly on display at the lovely new Garden shop "The Flower Pot" on Main Street in Charleville while another three are going on sale at a new online shop  - www.darlingviolets.com/

It’s all go.

Thankfully it’s not been all business -  we managed to go for a lovely walk in Woodstock gardens, in Inistioge, Kilkenny, with Batman in tow. Check out the pictures.  Beautiful place to visit and great inspiration for my pictures! :)

a big Thank You!

Well... it's been a whirlwind couple of weeks.

The site has launched, an etsy account opened and I've become a social media user.

I have to say the support and feedback for Irish businesses on social media has been amazing.

The #irishbizparty hashtag on twitter is a great tool to network and build your contacts. My Wednesday's are never going to be the same again.

If you are an Irish business and you are looking for contacts/advice then 9.30-11pm on a Wednesday on twitter is the place for you - @irishbizparty

Facebook has also been very supportive especially my friends and also a page called Christmas Gift Ideas Ireland.

I am delighted to say that I've had 5 orders in the last week and there is a Garden Centre interested in stocking some items..,

It's all very scary and exciting...

Thanks to everyone for their help so far.

First Market Stall experience

Well, I finally took the plunge and had my first market stall experience today at Langton's Hotel, Kilkenny. It was the yummymummymarket.com and was mostly for young parents selling on their pre-loved items that their kids have outgrown.

There were a few other stalls with beautiful  handmade items also so these markets are well worth a visit for people looking for gifts or to kit themselves out with all the essentials for a new arrival.

We set up the stall, complete with a bowl of Cadbury's eclairs which went down a treat :)

I was delighted at the genuine interest and feedback I had on my stone art work and it was great to see which ones were most popular. "Baby steps" and "Young love" proved to be the most admired.

We had a great day and will definitely be regulars on the Kilkenny art and crafts trade fair circuit.
